Choose Julius when the workis analysis, not just answers
A lot of real data work is not a SELECT statement, and for that Julius is straightforwardly the better tool.
Julius runs Python. That means regressions, forecasts, clustering, statistical tests and any transform you can describe, none of which ChatPlotDB can do, because it has no code execution surface at all. If your question is "which variables predict churn" rather than "how many customers churned", we are the wrong tool and Julius is the right one.
It also reaches more sources than we do, including Snowflake, BigQuery and SQL Server, and it is built around the file-first workflow: drop in an export, get the analysis, take away a chart, a spreadsheet or a set of slides. For an individual analyst or a consultant working across many clients' data, that breadth is the whole value.

Choose ChatPlotDB when thesame number has to mean one thing
A general assistant answers whoever is asking. A company needs the answer to be the same whoever asked.
The failure mode of a general-purpose analyst is not that it gets things wrong: it is that two people ask the same question in different words and get two different numbers, both defensible, neither reconcilable in a meeting. That happens because the definitions live in each conversation rather than in the company.
ChatPlotDB puts those definitions in a config layer that sits between the question and the query. It records which tables matter, how they join, and what your team means by "active account" or "churned", so the finance lead and a new hire get the same figure. The rest follows from the same instinct. Queries execute read-only against a role you control, and the SQL behind every answer is shown so it can be checked. And on an enterprise deployment the whole thing runs inside your own AWS account with model calls served through Amazon Bedrock, which is a different conversation with your security team than a hosted assistant is.

Julius publishes a free tier with a monthly message limit, several individual paid tiers, and Business and Enterprise plans on request.
