Founded in 2023 in Bangalore, Simplifying AI is building the next generation of data intelligence tools, starting with ChatPlotDB, an AI agent that lets anyone query databases in plain English.

Simplifying AI was born from a frustration most growing companies know too well.
Our founder, Prakash Chandra, was leading a technology team at a company with over 200,000 leads and 10,000 paying customers. The data was there, scattered across spreadsheets, siloed in databases. He built the pipelines to centralise it. But then came the real problem: the operations team who understood the business couldn’t query a database, and the developers who could write SQL didn’t understand the business questions.
Every insight required a back-and-forth: a ticket, a meeting, a wait.
When large language models became capable enough to translate natural language into accurate database queries, the path became clear. What if anyone in a company could just ask a question and get an answer, directly from their own data, in seconds?
That question became ChatPlotDB. And the company built to pursue it became Simplifying AI.

Data analysis shouldn't require a specialist
The people who understand the business should be able to explore the data themselves. We build tools that remove the SQL barrier without dumbing down the analysis.

Our chart library is open source. Our product roadmap is shaped by real user feedback. We believe transparency builds better tools and stronger trust.

Prakash Chandra
Founder & Engineer
10+ years in AI/ML and computer vision. Master's from IISc Bangalore, B.Tech from NIT Surat. Previously led a 10-person development team and built internal data infrastructure. Created deep learning courses at OpenCV University covering PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Transformers. Holds a patent in dynamic hotspot prediction.

B.Tech. from IIT Roorkee with extensive experience in enterprise R&D and software engineering. He works at the intersection of databases, software engineering, and intelligent agents, with a focus on application architecture, agent evaluation, and automation. At Simplifying AI, he builds evaluation infrastructure to measure and improve agent accuracy, while also developing AI agents for complex business workflows.
